AWS at 2017 Responsible Business Forum on Sustainable Development
AWS CEO Adrian Sym has been asked to speak at the upcoming ‘Responsible Business Forum on Sustainable Development’. Taking place in Johannesburg from 30th August to 01st September the forum will examine each of the 17SDGs in depth with case studies and perspectives from businesses, governments, UN agencies and NGOs, investors and international experts.
Convened by Global Initiatives and the United Nation’s Development Programme (UNDP) the objective of the forum is to accelerate inclusive growth in Africa to deliver on the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals. The forum will demonstrate how businesses, governments, international organisations and agencies are working in partnerships to contribute to achieving the Global Goals.
Adrian will be sharing learnings from implementations of the AWS Standard from across the world, highlighting how the multi-stakeholder nature of the standard provides a framework and neutral platform for partnerships to tackle the several SDGs that will be determined by our achieving improved water use and water management practices.
