AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum 2019

12th and 13th November, Edinburgh, Scotland

Water risks are an ever-present and rising threat around the world. Changing lifestyles, growing economies and climate change are all placing pressure on precious water resources. To ensure a water-secure world that enables people, cultures, business and nature to prosper, now and in the future, we need all water-users to step up and play their part.

First launched in 2016 the AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum has quickly been recognised as the ‘must attend’ event for the international water stewardship community. Offering a unique space for diverse actors to come together and engage in two days of knowledge sharing, networking and action planning, the AWS Forum enables the water stewardship community to advance impact against the five positive outcomes of the AWS Standard 2.0.

Over the last three years, the Forum has been attended by water stewardship professionals from over 25 countries, representing some of the world’s most well known brands and organisations. The multi-stakeholder nature of AWS means that all of our members have a say in developing the programme for the Forum and participants benefit from the range of views this provides.

Participants from previous years said:

I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Forum. I left energized and look forward to becoming more heavily-invested in 2019

The Forum was very informative and worthwhile

A very positive evolution of AWS in the last two years. Good participation and organisation, with crucial themes put in front of us for discussion.
