The 2023 Global Water Stewardship Forum will be held on 16-17 May 2023 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This event is now SOLD OUT! Join the waiting list and subscribe to the AWS International newsletter to receive updates.
The AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum is one of the key events in which our community of members, implementers and stakeholders share knowledge and learning on the evolution of water stewardship practice and forge new directions through dialogue and partnerships. Held annually in Edinburgh, Scotland, since 2016, it has become the must-attend event for the international water stewardship community.
Our two-day programme will run from 9:00 on Tuesday 16 May to 17:30 on Wednesday 17 May 2023 (with on-the-day registration available from 8:30).
Interactive sessions will represent three cross-cutting topics:
Sessions will explore water stewardship in both supply chains and owned operations across AWS’s priority business sectors (Agriculture, Food & Beverage, Microelectronics, and Textiles & Apparel).
Sessions explore high-level water stewardship debates including Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN), collective action, climate resilience, and updates and follow-on conversations from UN Water.
Sessions will cover key aspects of the Alliance for Water Stewardship System, and will this year include an overview of the AWS Standard revision process. We will also provide an opportunity to explore configuring the AWS System for scaled certification.
We are thrilled to have support from this year’s AWS Forum sponsors, Scottish Government, WWF, Diageo, Inogen Alliance and Nutrien; and from AWS Funding Members, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Apple, Azura, EDEKA ZENTRALE Stiftung & Co. KG, PRIMARK, Nestlé and Unilever PLC.
The 2022 Global Water Stewardship Forum included over 300 registered delegates, both in-person and online, representing over 130 organisations worldwide.
During the 2022 AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum, we gained insights and learned from those working on water stewardship in the private and public sectors, and civil society organisations. To learn more about the sessions and key takeaways, download and read our overview report.
