AWS Training in Cologne, Germany

On the 25th, 26th and 27th June, we will be running three days of AWS Training in Cologne, Germany.

AWS Training provides implementers of the AWS Standard and those who support them through implementation and certification with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with the Standard. This will be the first course offered in Europe following the launch of the AWS Standard 2.0 and we hope you’ll be able to join us for one, two or three days of water stewardship discussion, knowledge sharing and training.

The course will occur over three days, taking participants from the foundations of water stewardship through to an in-depth understanding of the AWS Standard and its related systems and processes. The course structure is as follows:

Day 1: Water Stewardship Seminar

This event will introduce the newly revised AWS Standard and showcase some of the water stewardship experiences and lessons learned by leading companies including EDEKA and Nestlé. Participants will gain a foundation level of knowledge of water stewardship, the AWS Standard and tools to support its implementation. The learning outcomes of this seminar will be relevant for anyone with an interest in implementing or promoting water stewardship.

Day 2: Advanced Training in the AWS Standard

Advanced training will provide in-depth understanding of the AWS Standard v2.0. The training will use a specifically developed case study, delivered by an experienced AWS trainer supported by Good Stuff International who were closely involved in the first AWS certification in Europe (Iberesparragal in Spain). Participants will achieve a deeper knowledge of the AWS Standard’s criteria and indicators and how they are applied at a site, within supply chains and in the context of a catchment. This training is targeted at organisational representatives who will be closely involved in the implementation of the AWS Standard, as well as specialist service providers aiming to achieve their AWS credentials.

Day 3: Specialist Training in the AWS Standard

Specialist training will enable participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the AWS assurance program, accreditation and certification requirements, and other elements of the AWS System. The course is aimed at trainers, consultants and auditors seeking AWS credentials, and will also benefit implementers by providing a full understanding the auditing procedures and certification requirements.

Cost

Thanks to the generous support of GIZ’s International Water Stewardship Programme we are able to offer Day 1 and 2 of this training free of charge. Specialist Training (Day 3) will be on a paid for basis at our usual rate of €250.
