Home - AWS Global Water Stewardship Forum
General registration now open!
The Global Water Stewardship Forum, convened by AWS, is a key event in which our community of members, implementers and stakeholders share knowledge and learning on the evolution of water stewardship practice and forge new directions through dialogue and partnerships. Held in Edinburgh, Scotland, since 2016, it has become the must-attend event for the international water stewardship community.
We look forward to inviting participants back to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) for the 11th Global Water Stewardship Forum, convened by AWS, in March 2027.
In response to the ideas, connections and opportunities arising from across the community, the 2027 Global Water Stewardship Forum will expand to three days, providing more space for discussions, collaboration and action. It begins on World Water Day, Monday, 22 March and runs through to Wednesday, 24 March.
General registration for the AWS Forum is now open. You can book your ticket using the link below.

Terms & conditions: Tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets may be transferred to colleagues within your organisation. For any ticket changes or cancellations, please contact us.
We invite all AWS Forum participants to join us on Monday, 22 March at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa for a drinks reception followed by our Forum Dinner. Pre-booking is required. If you have already booked your ticket and would like to add dinner, please get in touch with us.
As we begin shaping the programme for the 2027 Global Water Stewardship Forum, we are seeking input from AWS Members.
As an alliance for the practice of water stewardship, our aim is for the Forum to represent stewardship in all its diversity and serve as a springboard for learning and new ideas that catalyse more and better action.
For the 2027 Forum, we welcome programme suggestions in the following areas:
In line with AWS’s mission, ‘to ignite and nurture global and local leadership in credible water stewardship’, we welcome suggestions that speak to any of these themes from a global or local perspective, or from a technical, systems or policy perspective.
Members can make up to three submissions. However, please complete a separate form for each one so we can review and consider each recommendation individually. All suggestions will be reviewed by AWS and we will contact you if we would like to explore your submission further.
Please submit your recommendations by 16 December.

WaterLogues is a series of events that provide space for inter-organisational dialogues to support and advance collaboration on water stewardship. Using the convening opportunity around existing events such as the AWS Forum, World Water Week and Climate Week, WaterLogues brings the water stewardship community together for a day of thorough discussions on shared challenges and opportunities.
The Edinburgh WaterLogues 2026 event will bring together organisations to engage and coordinate private sector efforts ahead of, and during, the United Nations Water Conference 2026 in the UAE. It will cover both the official conference program and the informal private sector activities related to the conference.
The discussion will focus on:
The ambition behind WaterLogues is to create a space for inter-organisational dialogue. Using the convening opportunity around existing events such as the AWS Forum, World Water Week and Climate Week, WaterLogues brings the water stewardship community together for a day of thorough discussions on shared challenges and opportunities.
Built around in-depth dialogues rather than rotating hourly sessions, WaterLogues creates the space for advancing collaboration, sometimes missing from other event formats. WaterLogues will be held on Thursday, 25 June, following the AWS Forum at the same venue, the EICC. Space is limited – we strongly encourage you to register today.
Building on the conversation from the 2025 Stockholm WaterLogues, the 2026 Edinburgh WaterLogues event will focus on efforts to engage and coordinate private sector activities in the lead-up to and during the 2026 United Nations (UN) Water Conference in the UAE. The discussion will address both the formal programme and the informal private sector programme for the UN Water Conference.
Topics to be discussed include:
