The AWS Standard is a globally applicable framework for major water users to understand their water use and impacts, and to work collaboratively and transparently for sustainable water management within the wider water catchment context. The AWS Standard V2.0 was published in March 2019. To ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness, we began the second review and revision of the AWS Standard, intending to publish the revised AWS Standard V3.0 on World Water Day (22 March) 2025. The primary aims of the process are to:
Improve the value proposition and user experience for sites
Enable more accurate and consistent auditability
Enhance the AWS Standard’s contribution to AWS’s vision, mission and organisational strategy
As part of the review phase, we solicited feedback on the AWS Standard V2.0 through an AWS Standard Review Survey (launched on 20 July, 2023), and this webinar. Watch the webinar to find out more about the AWS Standard Review and Revision process and the survey.
