AWS Case Study – Caithness General Hospital

In November 2019, Caithness General Hospital in Wick, which is managed by NHS Highland, became the first hospital and public-sector agency in the world to achieve AWS certification. NHS Highland, which provides health and social care services in an area representing 41 per cent of Scotland’s land mass, has a responsibility to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. This includes tackling water pollution.
