World Water Week 2025

World Water Week in Stockholm is a week-long global water conference held each year in late August. The event is organised and led by the Stockholm International Water Institute. The theme for this year is Water for Climate Action.

AWS will be supporting a two-day programme of side events from 26-27 August 2025, held off-site during World Water Week. Two of these events are highlighted below.

Tuesday, 26 August (15:00–16:00 CET) | ‘Money, Money, Money’ – Convened by AWS, this session will explore the evolving landscape of finance for water – from water stewardship and security to tech innovation and collective action. Borrowing its title from pop legends ABBA’s and their iconic anthem, the session is designed to spark dialogue and set the stage for deeper discussions – not least: “all the things we could do/ if we had a little money…” With the University of Oxford/ Watermarq, WWF, Resilient Water Accelerator, DEG and ADB Water.

Location: Convendum, Vasagatan 16, Stockholm, Sweden.

  • Dialogue 1 > 10:00 – 12:00: Towards open and accessible catchment data and monitoring
