Japan Water Week 2026

Japan Water Week takes place annually from 1 – 7 August, with 1 August officially designated as Water Day. Established by the Japanese government in 1977, this initiative raises public awareness about the critical importance of water conservation and sustainable resource development during peak summer consumption. AWS celebrated Japan Water Week with content highlighting the inspiring water stewardship work happening across Japan.
